29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries. (a)On or about May 13, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure a fire extinguisher was accessible to employees. A fire extinguisher was covered by a 4'x 8' sheet of plywood which impeded the fire extinguisher from being readily accessible. This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with fire such as burns and smoke inhalation.
