29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1):No employer shall permit an employee to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. a. Located at 4222 Piatt Road, Lewis Center, Ohio, 43035: On or about April 10, 2024, the employer did not ensure that an employee working in close proximity to an energized electrical circuit was protected from contacting live electrical parts. An employee was exposed to electrical shock hazards while verifying the switching functions were operating correctly on an energized, unguarded 277 VAC lighting contactor.
