29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a.) PJ Murphy Forest Products Corp, shaker area - On or about 3/12/24, and at times prior thereto, employees were engaged in work activities on an expanded metal platform without the use of fall protection. Employees were working up to 10-feet above ground level. Work activities included, but were not limited to, repairs to the outdoor dust collection system. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
