29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2) Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. Location: Worksite On or about January 30, 2024, employees were exposed to asbestos hazards where the employer permitted respirators to be worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of their respirator facepiece and the face while entering active regulated asbestos containment areas. On a follow-up on February 12, 2024, an employee was exposed to asbestos hazards where the employer permitted a respirator to be worn by an employee who had facial hair stubble that came between the sealing surface of the respirator facepiece and the face while entering regulated asbestos containment areas.
