29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that the floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided. On or about January 17, 2024, employees were exposed to slip and fall hazards as a result of wet floors and standing water: 1) Knock-Off Area: Three blasting cabinets used by employees to manually clean off parts with pressurized water nozzles were missing seals, gaskets, and liners resulting in standing water on the floor. 2) Outside Shell Room (Investment Ovens): A large area of standing water was present in the Shell Investment Area resulting from extensive heat and steam used to melt wax blanks.
