29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1):Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions: On or about October 23, 2023, daily inspections were not conducted by the competent person on a jobsite located at 1636 Snow Road, Parma, OH 44134, when 02 employees were looking for a water line main in a trench 6.9-feet deep with no form of cave-in protection.
