29 CFR 1910.1025(c)(1): Employee(s) were exposed to lead at concentrations greater than fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period: a) In the Welding and Fab Shop, on or about October 17, 2023 - A Machine Operator was exposed to lead at an eight-hour time weighted average exposure of 55 micrograms per cubic meter of air while cutting stainless steel with the Bodor Laser which resuspended previously settled particulate containing lead from cutting honeycombs coated with tin lead solder on the Bodor Laser. This level is 1.1 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an eight-hour period. Sampling was performed by an OSHA compliance officer on October 17, 2023, for 384 minutes and zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled portion of the shift.
