Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) Press 343 - The employer does not ensure that employees utilize procedures developed and documented for the control of hazardous energy when employees maintain and/or service machines and equipment. Employees performed service and maintenance work on Press #343, Station 3, and did not de-energize and control each of the hazardous energy sources identified in the employer's energy control procedure to include electrical, compressed air, thermal, and potential energy, on or about August 18, 2023. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
