29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: a) Cathode Powder Mixing Room/ Electrode Department - On or about 6/30/2023, and at times prior, an employee working near the hopper machine was exposed to continuous noise dose of 66.9%, or an equivalent of 87.1 dBA that exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA when the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program. The sampling was performed for 417 minutes during one shift on 06/30/2023; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 63 minutes not sampled. b) Cathode Powder Mixing Room/ Electrode Department - On or about 6/30/2023, and at times prior, an employee working near the hopper machine was exposed to continuous noise dose of 62%, or an equivalent of 86.6 dBA that exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA when the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program. The sampling was performed for 414 minutes during one shift on 06/30/2023; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 66 minutes not sampled.
