29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): Mt. Vista Officer's Club Cleaning Project: On May 17, 2023, four employees who dry swept and vacuumed portions of an old abandoned building where rodent droppings and lead paint chips where present were not provided with adequate PPE to protect against biological agents and diseases such as Hanta virus.
