29 CFR 1910.28(b)(13)(i):(13) Work on low-slope roofs. (i) When work is performed less than 6 feet (1.6 m) from the roof edge, the employer must ensure each employee is protected from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, travel restraint system, or personal fall arrest system. a) On May 5, 2023, located less than 6 feet from a low-slope commercial roof edge, the employer failed to provide and install a fall protection system, as a result, an employee was not protected from falling and was exposed to a potential fall hazard of 9 feet above the concrete surface below.
