29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest system. Rooftop: On or about April 20, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards while re-roofing a 3 in 12 pitch asphalt shingle roof, with a free fall distance of 17 feet to the ground, due to not being protected by the use of guardrails, safety nets or a personal fall arrest system.
