29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a)Global Harvest Foods, LLC 201 at North Richmond Street, Roscoe, SD 57471: On or about and at times prior to April 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from side or edge fall hazards involving a fixed elevated platform near the west side of the Cleaning Machine due to inadequate fall protection when working on a surface 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than four feet.
