29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: a) Production Area: The use of 3M half facepiece elastomeric dual cartridge respirator was required for a Machine Operator working in a tablet press machine room for protection against the airborne powder. The employer failed to ensure that the employee did not have facial hair that would interfere with mask-to-face seal, on or about 04/26/2023.
