29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(21): Employees were not grasping the ladder with at least one hand when progressing up and/or down the ladder: a. On or about January 03, 2023, 14601 Hope Center Loop, Fort Myers, Florida, an employee was using a self-supporting (A-Frame) ladder to install metal pipe hangers and plastic pipes into/ along a ceiling, during which time the employee attempted to descend the ladder with pipe fittings and a can of pipe glue in his hand(s), resulting in the employee being unable to maintain 3-points of contact nor able to maintain his balance at all times while ascending and descending the ladder; therefore exposing the employee to a fall hazard.
