29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2): An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access. The employer does not ensure that all exit accesses are at least 28 inches wide at all points. (a) On or about September 13, 2022, the aisle from the stock room to the receiving door and fire exit was 18 inches wide due to the storage of rolltainers and merchandise randomly piled up along the walls. (b) On or about September 13, 2022, the access from the storage area next to the break room to the stock room was 23 inches wide. (c) On or about November 21, 2022, the access from the storage area next to the break room to the stock room was 19 inches wide. (d) On or about November 21, 2022, the access from the break room to the stock room exit was 23 inches wide. (e) On or about November 21, 2022, store aisle 17 was 25 inches wide at the boxes of pillows and picture frames.
