29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3):Exit routes were not kept free and unobstructed: On or about September 7, 2022 and times prior, the back emergency exit routes in Dollar Tree Store #1959 located at 2306 S. Jefferson Ave. Suite M Mount Pleasant, TX were partially obstructed with stored merchandise and/or materials, exposing Dollar Tree employees to being trapped in the event of a emergency requiring evacuation in the following locations; a) In the back of the store, the office hallway leading to the single-door emergency exit was obstructed with storage racks stacked along the wall restricting the exit route. b) In the back of the store by the storage room, the path leading to the double-door emergency exit was obstructed by stored merchandise restricting the exit route. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1443653, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on April 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2708 Renaissance Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76105.
