29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B):Specific procedural steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy; (a) On or about July 7, 2022 the employer did not ensure that the energy control procedures addressed all potentially hazardous energy sources for employees who were performing serving operations on the buffers. Servicing operations included, adjusting buffer arms, replacing buffing wheels, and unclogging polish guns. (1) Specific procedural steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy pursuant to 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)[B]. The procedure did not address controlling the hazardous energy sources of electrical, and pneumatic energy prior to performing service and maintenance activities on the equipment.
