Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control: a) On or about May 17, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 5-6, a Line 3 Stacker Laborer cleans equipment on Line 3, including under conveyor lines, without locking out the equipment being cleaned. The Line 3 Stacker Laborer periodically removes jammed or fallen material from between conveyor sections without locking out the conveyor section(s). The Line 3 Stacker Laborer was not trained as an authorized employee. b) On or about May 19, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI in Building 11, a Machine Operator cleaned equipment in Building 11, including the Straight Line Rip Saw and the Mereen-Johnson Co. Double End Tenoner, without locking out the equipment before cleaning. The Building 11 Machine Operator was not trained as an authorized employee.
