OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and caught between/crushing hazards during crane operations due to nearby objects: Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means of abatement include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform a risk assessment/hazard analysis on storage of product/materials and the impact of storage configurations on crane operations. 2. Retrain employees on "Line of Fire" body positions, load handling and pinch points to crane operations. 3. Identify staging areas for product and/or storage configurations that will prevent struck-by/caught-between incidents with cranes.
