29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to provide and ensure the usage of "point of operation guards" or properly applied and adjusted point of operation devices on every operation performed on a mechanical power press. See Table O-10. On or about February 8, 2022, at a workplace located at 5757 West Custer Street, Manitowoc, WI in the Core Department: the control station utilized to protect the point of operation on the E.W. Bliss C45 part revolution mechanical power press was not properly adjusted to prevent access to the hazardous downward stroke of the press exposing employees to shear hazards.
