29 CFR 1910.68(e)(1):Frequency. All manlifts shall be inspected by a competent designated person at intervals of not more than 30 days. Limit switches shall be checked weekly. Manlifts found to be unsafe shall not be operated until properly repaired: On or about February 1, 2022, the employer failed to ensure that the Ballymore Manlift, orange, serial #902, was inspected by a competent person. This lift was used when it was in an unsafe condition and it resulted in an accident that injured an employee. The lift was missing the original lock pin for the working platform. In its place was a rigged substitute that did not hold in place (was missing the connected chain, loop hook and locking pin.
