29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Boulder Scientific Company, LLC., 598 Third Street, Mead, CO 80542: On or about October 22, 2021, adequate training on the chemicals used by employees working in or near the Mars Lab was not provided to employees. Employees did not fully understand and/or comprehend the chemical hazards associated butyl lithium, lithium hydride, alcohols and solvents, and were unaware chemicals were pyrophoric, water and air reactive, and flammable.
