29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2):Where the competent person found evidence of a situation that could result in possible cave-in, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions, exposed employee(s) was/were not removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions have been taken to ensure their safety: a) 2109 Poly Drive, Billings MT 59102: On or about October 5, 2021, and at times prior, employees were exposed to cave in hazards while identifying existing sewer pipe location in an unguarded trench measuring approximately 8 feet in depth. The competent person failed to remove himself from a situation that could result in possible cave in.
