29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: a - 934 Beacon Avenue, Brick NJ: The employer did not established an energy control program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to protect employees from hazardous energy. Employees serviced and performed maintenance on equipment including, but not limited to, a GMC C4500's Heil dump body, wood chippers, and other equipment associated with the company's landscaping and tree service activities. Violation noted on or about 08/05/21. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
