29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about August 5, 2021, the employer failed to adequately assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present which necessitate the need for PPE. The employer failed to assess the need for PPE when filling and maintaining powered industrial truck (PIT) batteries.
