29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1): Accident prevention responsibilities. It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part. (a) On or about June 30, 2021, employer programs, such as Forklift Operations: Inspection, Safety Guidelines & Procedures, did not address the potential exposure of temporary employees working around equipment (forklifts) while performing tasks such as drilling holes in a 500 pound 20 foot long beam that was sitting on two sawhorses in the same area where posts were being set by a forklift.
