29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall: 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level. a) Swiss Construction, LLC, at a jobsite located at 1437 Hoovler Way Lot 101, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: On and/or preceding August 11, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls of greater than 6 feet and preventing contact with the ground while engaged in residential construction activities. Employees were using vertical lifelines connected at the same level as their feet while installing floor joists for the second story, thereby exposed to fall hazards of 12 feet, 3 inches.
