29 CFR 1910.244(a)(1)(i): The operator shall make sure that the jack used has a rating sufficient to lift and sustain the load. a) On or about May 30, 2020 employee using a 3 Ton Harbor Freight jack stand and a 12 Ton jack to lift a Fair Propane truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 33,000 pounds and propane weight of 8190 pounds was not sufficient to withstand the weight, exposing employees to a crushing hazard.
