29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. 1. On or about December 12, 2019, an employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 18 Feet while performing framing activities on a new commercial building located at 11601 Euclid Ave., Cleveland Ohio 44106. The employee was installing floor joists and the employer did not ensure that he was using any form of fall protection. 2. On or before December 12, 2019, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 18 Feet while performing framing activities on a new commercial building located at 11601 Euclid Ave., Cleveland Ohio 44106. The employees were working on all areas of the upper level and the employer did not ensure that the personal fall arrest systems being used would adequately protect the employees.
