29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (a) Carpenters in the shop were not aware of a written hazard communication program for chemicals including dusts and solvents. Workers used lubricants, spray finishing, and cut and sanded natural woods (white oak, alder, and more), and manufactured wood products, such as melamine. Specific chemicals used included, but were not limited to flammable solvent-containing Lami-Lube-III, Bostik GlideCote, Famowood Wood Filler, and Rust-Oleum spray enamel. Note: Certification of corrective action is required for this item.
