29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. a. On or about December 19, 2019, in the shop, employees were exposed to hand injury hazards while they poured and troweled concrete in trench molds without being required to wear proper gloves. b. On or about December 19, 2019, in the shop, employees were exposed to hand injury hazards while they patched concrete trenches with a cement-based concrete and repair mortar with without being required to wear proper gloves.
