29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: a) In the Spray Department, where a noise monitoring program had not been developed and implemented for employees operating the HVOF booths. An employee was exposed to 261.4% of the noise dose which is equivalent to approximately 96.9 dBA. Sampling was conducted for 344 minutes on October 30, 2019. Zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 136 minutes. b) In the Spray Department, where a noise monitoring program had not been developed and implemented for employees performing abrasive blasting activities. An employee was exposed to 75.5% of the noise dose which is equivalent to approximately 87.9 dBA. Sampling was conducted for 339 minutes on October 30, 2019. Zero exposure was assumed for the remaining 141 minutes.
