29 CFR 1926.1403(a): The employer did not follow the manufacturers procedures during the assembly/disassembly process: Project #5: On July 22, 2019, employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard, while removing connecting pins from the base of the lattice boom Link-Belt 218 HSL Lattice Boom Crane without following the manufacturers instructions such as, but not limited to, a) The pendant lines were not located behind the boom connection (butt/base) to be disassembled for assembly. b) The crane operator did not stand outside the boom while removing connecting pins.
