Personal fall arrest systems when stopping a fall must: 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level; On and about June 21, 2019, employees sheathing the roof of a pole barn located at 3644 Nekimi Ave. Oshkosh, WI were exposed to falling greater than 6 feet between the trusses and purlins and from the eave edge and gable end when their lifelines allowed lateral travel farther than the distance to the edges.
