29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) On June 4, 2019 and at times prior, an employee suffered facial skin burn after being exposed to a cleaning chemical (SHC Extreme II) that was used to clean equipment at the production area. The chemical contains sodium hydroxide and is corrosive. The employees at the production area were not provided with face protection while the chemical is used at their workplace.
