Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.107(b)(1): The spraybooth was not substantially constructed of steel, securely and rigidly supported, or of concrete or masonry. Abra Auto Body Repair of America-Decatur, GA- On or about May 9, 2019, and times prior to, the Eagle Spray Booth door was not securely and rigidly supported in that the main door hinges and seals were damaged and broken allowing paint vapors to escape to the rest of the shop exposing employees to fire hazards and vapors. Also, the door and walls of the Devilbiss Spray Booth had deteriorated (rusted) and not sealing properly and was supported by wood blocks and spray foam. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
