29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Economy Locker Storage Co Inc., Pennsdale, PA: On or about April 29, 2019, the employer did not assess the workplace, such as in the Freidrich smokehouse room, to identify hazards which would require the use of personal protective equipment. Employees were dispensing corrosive sanitizing agents, such as Zep Amine-Z used by employees on daily basis to sanitize equipment, exposing the employees to eye and face injuries. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
