29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i): Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors: Facility: On or about April 1, 2019, the employer did not take adequate precautions, such as using non-sparking tools and equipment to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors, in that unapproved electrical equipment was used while making 587A Natural Resin and floors were cleaned with acetone and a metal ice scraper. RBC Industries, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.106(e)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1270859, citation number 1 , item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 3/23/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 80 Cypress Street, Warwick, RI 02888.
