29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: On or about January 23, 2019, at 1039 Gulf Drive, Summerland Key, Florida, 33402, the employer did not train employees on the hazards associated with discarding slippery plastic debris on a 6:12 pitch roof where employees were applying peel-and-stick type roofing materials, thereby exposing employees to slip and fall hazards. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
