29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: The employer is failing to protect employees from ingoing nip points. This was most recently documented on January 28, 2019 at 4457 G. Street Omaha, Nebraska. The employer failed to ensure that the chain feed mechanism on the Text Wrap machine located in the Blue Packing area was equipped with a guard to prevent an employee from reaching into this area and coming in contact with the ingoing nip point of the feed chain.
