29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: The employer is failing to protect employees from egress hazards. This was most recently documented on January 10, 2019 when it was observed that the emergency exit doors are bolted with a sliding bolt that is designed for foot operation. The following doors do not have a one push emergency exit door for ease of exit in an emergency situation. a) Employees are exposed to egress hazards as the FD-22 door has a sliding bolt that is designed for foot operation that remains locked on the South West side of the Building. b) Employees are exposed to egress hazards as the FD-23 door has a sliding bolt that is designed for foot operation that remains locked on the South side of the Building. c) Employees are exposed to egress hazards as the FD-25 door has a sliding bolt that is designed for foot operation that remains locked on the South side of the Building. The emergency bar is broken. d) Employees are exposed to egress hazards as the FD-27 door has a sliding bolt that is designed for foot operation that remains locked on the East side of the Building.
