Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.146(c)(1): The employer did not evaluate the workplace to determine if any spaces were permit-required confined spaces: (a) MEYERS GRAIN FACILITY, CHAMBERSBURG PA, AND MULTIPLE DELIVERY LOCATIONS - Employees were required to clean the insides of the hopper trucks used to haul grain products to prevent cross product contamination, and the employer had not evaluated the task to determine that the hoppers in the trucks were permit required confined spaces, on or about, November 5, 2018. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
