Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(d): Application of control. The established procedures for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) shall cover the following elements and actions and shall be done in the following sequence: a) On September 20, 2018 an employee while removing clumps from the Excalibur Artifax machine mixing bowl were not required to: (1) Turn off and shut down the mixer arms. (2) Physically locate and operate the energy isolating devices in such a manner as to isolate machine or equipment from the electric energy sources. (3) Affix lockout lockout or tagout devices to energy devices(s)
