Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6): Electrical equipment were exposed to gases, fumes, vapors, liquids, or other agents that have a deteriorating effect on the conductors or equipment: a) In the K Plant, on or about May 2, 2018 - #2 press control centers was exposed to R-brick dust which accumulated on and inside of the centers. The #2 press control centers were labeled as a HRC Level 4 arc flash and shock hazard. Press operators, electricians, and laborers working in the area of the #2 press control centers were exposed to the hazards of arc flash, electric shock and electrocution. RESCO Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1084449, citation number 1, item number 5a and was affirmed as a final order on January 13, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 6th and Center Streets, Tarentum, PA 15084.
