29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Jobsite, 1106 South Breezewood Road, Breezewood, PA 15533: Observed on or about October 3, 2017, the in-feed chute on a Morbark 58 inch Chip Pac brand wood chipper (serial number 965) was not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operation and to prevent materials from being thrown from the chipper. Employees using the chipper were exposed to cut-by and struck-by hazards.
