29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i): Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors from sources such as open flames; lightning; smoking; cutting and welding; hot surfaces; frictional heat; static, electrical, and mechanical sparks; spontaneous ignition, including heat-producing chemical reactions; and radiant heat: a) Spray paint booth: Category 2 flammable liquids, including, but not limited to, Penn Valley Paints Industrial Lacquer Thinner T-95, Penn Valley Paints Gloss Aluminum Lacquer, and Penn Valley Paints Bronze Lacquer, were transferred into a five gallon mixing container without being bonded to the container, on or about 9/19/17. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
