29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Other substances -- 8-hour Time Weighted Averages. An employee's exposure to any substance in Table Z-1, the exposure limit of which is not preceded by a "C", shall not exceed the 8-hour Time Weighted Average given for that substance any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week. a) On 9/5/17, a Line M2 Machine Operator was exposed to 397% of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average Carbon Monoxide exposure limit. The 8-hour Time Weighted Average exposure limit for Carbon Monoxide is 50 ppm. The Line M2 Machine Operator was exposed to a Carbon Monoxide 8-hour Time Weighted Average of 198.6 ppm over a 445 minute time period. b) On 9/5/17, a Line M3 Product Inspector was exposed to 316% of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average Carbon Monoxide exposure limit. The 8-hour Time Weighted Average exposure limit for Carbon Monoxide is 50 ppm.
