29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: a) Plant - On or about 08/03/17 and at times prior thereto employees performed repairs and maintenance, of the BUN Foaming Machine. Workers participating in lockout/tagout, were not trained about the location and use of the lockout/tagout procedure, the recognition of the type and magnitude of the hazardous energies, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation. Workers were exposed to accidental contact with electrical energy and gravitational energy. HP Pelzer Automotive Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924666, citation number 1, item number 8, issued on 01/28/2014 and affirmed as a final order on 02/20/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1884 Warrenton Hwy, Thomson, GA 30824. HP Pelzer Automotive Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1133070, citation number 2, item number 6, issued on 09/07/16 and affirmed as a final order on 09/21/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1884 Warrenton Hwy, Thomson, GA 30824. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
