29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Loading rack, 511 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua, PA - Employees walked on the elevated platform of a loading rack with two (2) unprotected edges without adequate fall protection and were exposed to a fall hazard of eight-foot, as observed on or about July 20, 2017. b) Tanker trucks at loading rack, 511 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua, PA - Employees placed product into top-load tanker trucks from the top of each tanker truck without adequate fall protection and were exposed to a fall hazard of ten-foot, as observed on or about July 20, 2017. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for this violation.
